LED Face Masks
The award-winning Illumination LED Mask has (quite literally) set the beauty industry alight.
Celebrities – including Hollywood actress Jessica Alba, who tweeted a picture of herself wearing an LED Mask – have been quick to embrace this technology which is innovative, non-invasive and completely safe. The mask is comfortable, painless and incorporates galvanic probes and oxygen infusion.
How does it work?
LEDs stimulate our cells and kick-start a number of processes which help rejuvenate the skin. First, LED therapy stimulates cells called fibroblasts which produce collagen. It also slows down the production of enzymes which break down collagen and make older skin lose its elasticity. Finally, it speeds cell production, making skin regenerate faster which in turn creates fresher-looking complexions.
The LEDs emit lightwaves of different lengths, the longest (830nm of near infrared) are red and used for anti-ageing treatments due to their cell regenerating properties. The blue are used to target breakouts and a combination of the two will target multiple skin conditions.
